Business workflow for making ozone water
Ozone water DIY: workflow for businesses
More and more businesses choose to make ozone water themselves with an ozone water machine. This gives you constant access to cleaning water for surface cleaning without separate bottles or complex mixing schemes. Our ozone water from the ozone water machine is only intended for surface cleaning. Not intended for consumption or medical applications.
What is ozone water and why use a fixed workflow?
Ozone water is produced on demand by an ozone water machine. Tap water flows along electrodes so that a controlled amount of ozone is added. The result is water used for daily surface cleaning. Read more in What is ozone water?, browse our guides or contact us for practical questions.
Standard workflow: from filling to finishing
A clear workflow prevents mistakes and makes work predictable. Start by checking the machine, fill the tank with tap water and wait until the ozone water machine indicates that enough ozone water is available. Plan clear moments during the shift when teams fill their cans, spray bottles or buckets.
Two-cloth method in practice
Spray onto the cloth for controlled application or directly onto closed surfaces such as tables, floors or tiles. Workflow: two-cloth method — 1) Spray a light mist onto the surface. 2) Clean in overlapping strokes. 3) Dry immediately with cloth B for a streak-free result. Work from cleaner to less clean areas: touch points → furniture → wet areas (bathroom). For more detail see the two-cloth method.
Why choose ozone water
✔️ Fewer different products in storage and one fixed workflow for surface cleaning.
✔️ On-site, on-demand production with less storage and fewer transport movements.
✔️ Using ozone water is cost-saving and supports low-chemistry cleaning where practical.
Costs and affordability
At roughly €0.0017 per litre you produce your own cleaning water directly from the tap. This makes the workflow not only practical but also financially attractive.
Lower purchasing of separate bottles and concentrates for daily surface cleaning.
Less storage space and simpler stock management.
Less packaging and transport, supporting sustainability goals.
One standardised way of working for all staff members.
After around 1,000 hours or 500,000 litres maintenance is needed; on average about €75 in parts.
Training, instruction and quality
A solid workflow starts with clear instructions. Document, step by step, how staff tap ozone water, how they apply the two-cloth method and in which order they treat rooms. Combine this with short practical training sessions on site.
