Ozone water in agriculture: practical and BPR‑safe

This article explains how to use ozone water for surface cleaning on farms, in barns and on equipment—strictly within BPR: no health, disinfection or drinking water claims. It is about cleaning hard, closed surfaces only.

Where can you apply ozone water?

Suitable for floors, grates, feed rooms, doors, touch points and equipment and vehicle exteriors. Remove heavy soil first, then use ozone water to loosen and carry off remaining dirt.

  • Barn corridors and wash bays (anti‑slip floors, tiles, concrete)

  • Equipment: loaders, trailers, housings around milking systems

  • Feed rooms and hygiene zones (surfaces only)

Workflow: two‑cloth method

Mist a light spray onto the surface or cloth A. Work in overlapping strokes, lift loosened soil and immediately dry with cloth B to avoid streaks. Work clean‑to‑less‑clean: touch points → furniture → floor areas.

  • Use ozone water fresh and immediately after generation

  • Keep cloths clean; rinse/replace in time

  • Test stainless/coated parts inconspicuously

Costs and affordability

At just €0.0017 per litre you produce your own cleaning water from the tap. No bottles, no filters, minimal logistics.

  • ✅ No expensive consumables

  • ✅ Less plastic and storage

  • ✅ Chemical‑free cleaning

  • ✅ Easy to use

  • After ~1,000 hours check electrodes; replacement averages €75.

Capacity and settings

Match flow rate (LPM) to the space: small rooms 1–2 LPM, larger areas higher. Prefer outdoor cleaning or a proper wash bay with good drainage.
