This guide shows how to use ozone water for calm, repeatable surface cleaning in different environments. Ozone water is used here only for surface cleaning of closed surfaces such as tables, counters and worktops.

What is ozone water and when do you use it?

Ozone water is tap water that is temporarily activated in an ozone water device. You use it immediately after it is made and only for surface cleaning. Typical examples are counters, tables, worktops and other hard, closed surfaces.

If you want to start with the basics, read What is ozone water? and explore the ozone water machine.

Using ozone water in different environments

With ozone water you can design calm, repeatable surface cleaning rounds in many environments. Each setting has its own focus points, from hospitality kitchens to retail counters, offices and sanitary areas.

  • Hospitality focuses on worktops, fridges and service areas.
  • Retail work is centred around counters, payment furniture and displays.
  • Offices concentrate on desks, meeting tables and high-touch points.
  • Sanitary and wet areas focus on floors, walls and fixed surfaces like benches or grab rails.

Our ozone water from the ozone water machine is only intended for surface cleaning. Not intended for consumption or medical applications.

Work steps with the two-cloth method

Spray onto the cloth for controlled application, or directly onto closed surfaces such as tables, floors or tiles. Workflow: two-cloth method — 1) Spray a light mist onto the surface. 2) Wipe in overlapping lanes. 3) Immediately dry with cloth B for a streak-free result. Work from clean to less clean: touchpoints → furniture → wet zones.

You can find the full explanation in the guide Two-cloth method.

Costs and affordability

At roughly €0.0017, not even one fifth of a cent per litre, you generate your own cleaning water straight from the tap.

  • No expensive bottles or extra logistics.
  • Less plastic and storage space.
  • Chemical-free surface routines.
  • Easy to explain and train for new team members.
  • After about 1000 hours or 500,000 litres, basic maintenance is needed, on average €75 in parts.

Using ozone water is cost saving, especially when you apply it consistently in several locations. With clear rounds you get the most value out of every litre.
