Using ozone water for streak-free indoor window cleaning
Indoor glass often looks streaky because a film remains after drying. With ozone water you work residue-light: freshly prepared water for surface cleaning only, finished by immediate drying with a clean cloth.
Why streaks appear
Most streaks come from leftover soap and minerals that dry on the surface. Keep the process simple: apply, loosen, dry. Avoid heavy product use that creates films.
Tools
- Lint-free microfiber (cloth A to loosen, cloth B to dry)
- Fine-mist sprayer
- Optional squeegee for large panes
Two-cloth workflow
Spray onto the cloth for control or directly onto closed surfaces. Two-cloth sequence — 1) Light mist. 2) Overlapping passes to loosen. 3) Immediate drying with cloth B. Work from clean to less clean areas.
Small vs. large areas
For mirrors and interior doors, two cloths suffice. On large panes, divide the window and use a squeegee after loosening; catch drips with cloth B and finish with a dry sweep.
Cost and affordability
At only €0.0017 per liter you produce your own cleaning water from the tap.
- ✅ No pricey bottles or logistics
- ✅ Less plastic and storage
- ✅ Simple to use
- Maintenance after ~1000 hours or 500,000 liters; about €75 in parts on average.
Applications at home
Use on interior glass in living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms—glass doors, display units, shower screens and mirrors. Keep motions steady and finish dry for an even shine.
Upkeep rhythm
Short, regular sessions help more than rare heavy cleans. Residue-light routines make dust adhesion less likely.
