Sustainable cleaning policy & training with ozone water

With clear policy, compact instructions and short training, teams perform surface cleaning with ozone water confidently. BPR-safe: no claims on disinfection, health or medical effects. Not for consumption or medical use.

Principles (safe, simple, repeatable)

Use light mist, target closed surfaces, avoid over-application, don’t store ozone water. Define zone priorities and control rounds.

  • Order: touchpoints → furniture/equipment → wet zones & floors
  • Application: on cloth for small/fragile areas; direct spray for large closed surfaces
  • Storage: do not store; activity decays quickly

Two-cloth workflow

1) Light mist on surface or cloth A. 2) Clean in overlapping strokes. 3) Dry immediately with cloth B for a streak-free result.

Policy, zones & planning

Map zones (high/medium/low risk), set frequencies, plan quick passes during peak times and a deep round in off-hours. Use loop routes and checklists.

Training & onboarding

Train in 15–20 minutes: demonstrate mist distance, cloth use and sequence. Repeat with monthly toolbox moments and buddy new hires on their first shift.

Materials & maintenance

Produce ozone water on site (~€0.0017/L). No filters. After about 1000 hours or 500,000 liters: inspect electrodes and replace if needed (~€75). Rinse nozzles periodically.

Costs & affordability

Lower purchasing, storage and logistics; faster rounds and predictable parts cost improve TCO.

  • ✅ Less plastic & bottle logistics
  • ✅ Simple stock (tap water + device)
  • ✅ Faster turnaround, fewer delays
  • ✅ Predictable maintenance budget

Implementation steps

Pilot one zone, measure time per round, refine instructions, then roll out. Keep policy on one page and instructions visual.

What can I use ozone water for?

For surface cleaning of closed materials; not intended for consumption or medical applications.

Is ozone water safe to use?

Yes, when applied correctly (light mist, two-cloth workflow, ventilated spaces for ozone air use).

Should I store ozone water?

After ~1000 hours or ~500,000 liters, inspect electrodes and replace if needed (~€75).

Do I need filters?

No filters; keep nozzles clean and perform visual checks.
