Ozone water applications in hospitality kitchens
This article explains how to use ozone water for surface cleaning in hospitality kitchens, worktops and service areas. Ozone water is used here only for surface cleaning of closed surfaces.
Which surfaces do you clean with ozone water?
In this setting you work mainly on hard, closed surfaces. In practice this means worktops, tables, counters, handles and other fixed elements. You spray a light mist and follow a fixed sequence so every round looks the same.
For more background, start with What is ozone water? and the explanation of the ozone water machine.
Practical work steps
A calm sequence makes it easier to repeat the same routine every day. Choose clear starting points, for example always at the entrance or first counter, and move systematically through the room.
- Pick a fixed starting point and route.
- Work from clean to less clean.
- Use the same number of lanes per surface.
Our ozone water from the ozone water machine is only intended for surface cleaning. Not intended for consumption or medical applications.
Working with the two-cloth method
Spray onto the cloth for controlled application, or directly onto closed surfaces such as tables, floors or tiles. Workflow: two-cloth method — 1) Spray a light mist onto the surface. 2) Wipe in overlapping lanes. 3) Immediately dry with cloth B for a streak-free result. Work from clean to less clean: touchpoints → furniture → wet zones.

Costs and affordability
At roughly €0.0017, not even one fifth of a cent per litre, you generate your own cleaning water straight from the tap.
- No expensive bottles or extra logistics.
- Less plastic and storage space.
- Chemical-free surface routines.
- Easy to scale to multiple locations.
- After about 1000 hours or 500,000 litres, basic maintenance is needed, on average €75 in parts.
Using ozone water is cost saving, especially when you apply the same routine across several rooms or sites.
