What is ozone water? Starter guide

What is ozone water?

Ozone water is water in which ozone is briefly dissolved by a machine. It is used immediately for surface cleaning on closed, wipeable materials such as tables, floors and tiles. Oxidation acts only on contact and decays, enabling practical on-site generation without bottle logistics.

How is ozone water made?

The unit converts tap water and temporarily dissolves ozone. Use the water at once. Standard wording: “Spray onto the cloth for controlled use, or directly onto closed surfaces (such as tables, floors or tiles).”

  • Suitable: HPL, coated wood, stainless steel, glass, ceramic tiles.
  • Spot-test sensitive finishes first.
  • Use microfiber; rotate cloths by zone.

Practical use & routes

Plan opening/peak/closing rounds in offices, retail or hospitality. Prioritise touch points, then furniture, then wet areas. See the Two-cloth method for consistent execution.

Costs and affordability

For only €0.0017 per liter, you produce your own cleaning water directly from the tap.

  • ✅ No expensive bottles or logistics
  • ✅ Less plastic and storage
  • ✅ Easy to use
  • After about 1000 hours or 500,000 liters, maintenance is needed, averaging €75 for parts.

Material-friendly practice

Keep cloths clean, avoid wetting open edges/gaps and store the unit dry as instructed. Rinsing is usually unnecessary on closed surfaces; always follow instructions.
